Apparently the idea of separation of church and state is lost here. Interesting since I've never seen Montana as particularly religious. Very few people I grew up with even go to church.

Yes, I thought his comment about a Biblical assessment of law was particularly surprising.

There's a new study that said that religion is supremely important to only 16% of Americans.

That's not surprising that it's only important to that percentage of the population. Personally when a politician starts talking religion like that they've lost my vote. I go to church but the fact is church and state are separate and have no place in determining laws.
