I read this story this morning. Too bad, but you can't just move up here willy nilly without preparing for winter. Something seems fishy about the story if you ask me, but oh well.

I hope someone goes back to help the wolf-dog.

The weapons nearby in easy reach gives me reason to think these folks were what I call "Last Standers". I once met a homeless guy who had a camp set up near the Old Steel Bridge in Kalispell while I was fishing downriver from the bridge. He carried an 18 pack of cheap beer and said he came to Montana from the east coast and he was making "his last stand". Very sad really, and this recession has just begun. I have already seen many posts on this site about folks wanting to know if there was work here or there. Being a boyscout as a youth taught me a very important lesson,
