Hello,

My partner and I are staying for a week in a Pacific Grove cottage, and I'm hoping to get suggestions from locals and expats on keeping active while taking in the breathtaking scenery. One suggestion I received was taking a bike ride along the 17-Mile Drive.

Any other suggestions of where to hike/bike/kayak/swim?

Thanks everyone!

Some folks like to kayak on Moss Landing Elkhorn Slough.

Google

You can hike/bike along Asilomar Beach over beyond Lover's Point, Fisherman's Wharf, to Monterey Beach.

You can hike/bike along Carmel Beach over to Carmel River...

Have a Wonderful Adventure.

Be Safe...

I think there are still bike lanes from Seaside to Marina Beach, going past Fort Ord, on the coast.

How adventurous and how far are you willing to go? There is a great deal of scenery and many ways to experience it, from mountain biking at Toro County Park to hiking the many parks of Big Sur.

Sykes hot springs, they're kind of busy in peak season but always worth the trip. Very long day hike or overnight.

Jacks Peak County Park (about a 15 minute drive from Monterey) is a nice underrated little spot to hike and view Monterey Bay. In addition to the hiking/biking, Asilomar Beach has some great tide pools (bring good water shoes).
