Duh. Go to Rio Del Mar, check out the cement ship and enjoy Aptos Creek. To start.

You missed Rio Del Mar-the nicest spot in the county. And the Mystery Spot is tacky.

Ah yes Rio Del Mar is a good one to add. I think Mystery Spot is a cool place. Tacky isnt always a bad thing.

What exactly do you do at the cement boat? Just look at it? Rio del mar can be one of the most crowded beaches in the County, but still a nice beach. Check out Sunset Beach or Palm Beach (Pajaro Dunes) in Watsonville for some uninterrupted coast line. Then stop at El Frijolito in Watsonville for lunch or dinner.

Check out the Monterey Salinas Transit bus 78 I read a little blurb about it http://montereycamontereyca.blogspot.com Basically I believe it goes from Monterey to Santa Cruz but you could take the bus from Salinas to Monterey. then the 78 to Santa Cruz. Sorry for the rambling.
