Apparently, Pittsburgh Steeler James Harrison will created a new mixed use development. Surprisingly, it doesn't look like an eyesore.

Now that is what I'm talking about!!!!

That kinda architecture is what Morgantown needs! It will blend and stand out at the same time!

I love hearing about new buildings.

This is just what Beechurst needs to get the ball rolling for upgrades. Now, they need to tear down the Kingdom properties as a next step.

It would look great if completed, but does anyone remember what the renderings for "the square at falling run" looked like? It looked like Reston Town Center in VA, a wonderful mixed use property with a pedestrian mall and fountains. I remember someone mentioning that it was just a grandiose way of tricking the city into giving them cheap funds or bonds. The result were square apartment buildings (that looked like stacked trailers) with enormous rents, managed by McCoy6, so they're very likely to suffer the same fate as Mountaineer Court within a decade.

I hope this guy is legit, and isn't just screwing the town again. Beechurst needs to be redeveloped. It's a major walking zone for students, and one of the first impressions many visitors get of our city. With run down housing, abandoned storefronts and falling down power poles, it does look pretty dumpy now.

Here's the only link I can find that shows similar imagery as to what was presented to the City in 2005.. a far cry from what we got. I wish their original website (www.fallingrun.com) was still up..
