What are they going to do with Harley field once the new stadium is built? Use as a practice field or put something new there?

That's a good question. I've heard anything from a practice field to a parking garage. It could be revamped as a softball field should WVU sponsor the sport. I've also heard that if WVU can buy the hotel next to the Shoney's they just bought, they might move the Men's Soccer practice field there. If they do that, then they could have a lot of space next to the Coliseum to work with. It would be nice to see the Men's Soccer practice field moved down there next to the Women's and Hawley decommissioned in lieu of a new parking garage, expanded natatorium, new track field, and a new Shell Building. It would be a lot of money, but we'll be rolling in it soon thanks to the Big 12.

There are more than $600 million in new construction projects planned at WVU with at least $250 million of that on the Evansdale Campus. I know they have ideas for around the Coliseum but am not aware of specifics. They also plan $45 million in upgrades to the PRT, which just yesterday had passenger # 80 million. They're essentially redoing the campus one area at a time so we'll have a beautiful setting like they have in most of the Big 12 schools, and as is befitting the flagship institution for our state.
