I hesitate to comment about WVU Arts and Entertainment, because they are always adding shows even after they announce their "season". But, here are the currently planned events:
Interesting news from WVU today. Starting this winter break WVU will add a 3-week,online only winter session. Initially enrollment will be limited. Classes have not yet been announced but will be in Arts& Sciences, Physical Activies and Sports Sciences, CAC and Davis College. Sounds like a good idea for a motivated student with nothing much to do over Christmas and enough $ for the tuition.
No other info on the "major gift" beyond the headline. Any rumors floating around out there?
I was at the 150th birthday party event at the Alumni center on Friday night and there wasn't even a mention of any big gift or an announcement or anything (you would think they would have hinted at a big gift then).
Wonder what it is and how much. When the multi-million dollar gift to the B&E and to the Engineering college happened there wasn't any pre-announcements like this.
Hopefully someone has heard something.
Wish someone would donate money to get the WVU Hotel ball rolling.

So it's for the Statler College. I would almost bet on the development of a new building (assuming it's a facilities announcement) next to the AERB to finish the new quad (former Ag Sciences).

I'm hoping that they are taking down that ugly tower and building a nice new modern building in its place. But completing the quad would be nice.

I'll be first in line with a sledgehammer when that happens. But a new building would have to come first to house the existing programs in that tower (ESB - Engineering Sciences Building).
