The University is finally - finally - renovating Hodges Hall. They just put out an RFP due in February for A/E for a complete renovation of the building.
Looks like they are anticipating running into asbestos problems. I imagine that building is filled with asbestos. That will not be cheap, and they will need to add a chiller unit to the building which wont be cheap at all either (at least they already plumbed the cold water pipe to just outside of the building). I wonder if they will start construction on this when they start building the new B&E building.
I haven't seen anything about the Mountainlair recently. Have they decided what they are doing yet. I thought it was in bad shape and needed replaced soon. weren't they also renovating towers and it was supposed to start last year. I haven't heard anything about that either.

I think towers they have been working floor by floor on. If I had to bet regarding the mountain lair, they are going to hold off doing anything until the new B&E building is open since it will have food and a mini rec center in it which could act as the temporary downtown student union building.
The WVU Health Science program, which turns out well trained professionals in several health disciplines, and together with WVU Medicine employs 15,000 people, has had a banner year for donations and fund raising. $282,039,883 has been raised as part of The University's State of Minds fund raising campaign, which has raised considerably more in private donations than it's $1 billion goal.
Medical activities at WVU have a major, and growing presence throughout much of our state.
