Hello,

I am a prospective student from Europe and I wanted some information about WVU.
I will probably stay there for one semester the next fall semester. I've tried to look on the website but it's kind of confusing
So here are my questions (mostly for housing) :

- Is it possible to live on-campus for one semester ?
(if not what do you recommand ?)
- How much does the housing cost ?
- Can we get a roommate on-campus ?

- Is the uni good ?
- Are the textbooks expensive ?

And one of the most important : are you nice ?

If a kind sould could answer me, I would be grateful.

Hi there!

I believe you can stay for a semester, but I'm not totally positive. And I don't know the cost or the roommate situation. Also, no uniforms over here if that's what you're asking about and textbooks just depend on the class you have. What would you be studying?

I'm don't know all of what you're looking for, but I am really good friends with the current Resident Assistants at the International House (where many of the international students live). They won't be there if you are here in the fall, but one of my other friends might be an RA there! I can get you in touch with them and I'm sure they can answer any and every question you have.

Hi elewis !

I would be studying International Studies. For the textbooks ... well some students I've met, told me that American students always studied with textbooks and I've heard it was kind of expansive.

Well, I'm looking for a place for one semester.
I've already studied one semester in Germany and I had a single room with personnal toilets/bathroom and I shared the kitchen. If anything, I want a personnal room.

If you can get me in touch with someone, you'll have my gratitude forever

Why would you want to come all the way here just to stay one semester? We're very nice.

And I've read that WVU are called mountainers, I come from the Alps, the change won't be that big ^^

I would suggest that you contact the International Office at The University. They could give you the best advice for your situation, and would be happy to do so. Are you from Deutschland?

Bienvenue a Morgantown Madamoiselle. I suggest you contact these folks. They will be happy to help you, and they know what they are doing.

Our mountains on our East Coast are not very similar to the Alps. We have more greenery in ours, and the elevation is not as high. Our Alpine peaks are on the West Coast in California and Washington State, as well as in Alaska and to a lesser extent in Colorado and Montana. But, I believe you will find our mountains very pleasant to visit in any event.
