I thought the other office building in the towne centre wasn't doing so hot until WVU came by and bailed them out with the temporary dental school? I could be mistaken.

They had other tenants for that building, but rented it to the Dental School because they took more of the space and committed to a long term lease. They already have half of the new one committed to leases.

The area is experiencing a steady growth rate of 2% per year and that is expected to continue for decades. While that isn't a spectacular rate in national terms, given the limited amount of space available for construction here, if they build something this year and it isn't rented out, it will be rented out next year. Steady growth is much better than sporadic boom and bust growth for a community. The Biaforas know what they are doing. Due to location, the 705 corridor will be fully developed in relatively short order.

Reading the article, it appears no one is committed to the new 20,000 sf building yet but talks are under way. The building they referred to as being half full was an existing main building with 28,000 sf.

If the Biaforas build it, in that location, it will fill up. They haven't been wrong yet, and our area is expanding step by step.
