Hi,

I am planning to move to Morgantown with my family. I have two sons, both of which need special education for different reasons.

My 11 y.o has autism, and my 9 y.o. is very advanced in math and needs gifted education.
Does anybody have any experience with autism services and schools in Morgantown, as well as with gifted/ talented programs in local schools, both public and private?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know, the only places in West Virginia that offer intensive autism services are here in Morgantown (where WVU has an outstanding clinic) and in Huntington.

Intensive Autism Service Delivery Clinic - Clinics - Center for Excellence in Disabilities

I am positive Monongalia County has some sort of gifted program, but not having school aged children I am not familiar with it. I suggest you contact the Board of Education directly for information.
