Best part about this...it will help to block Biafora's ugly building with the blue roof from most sight-lines. Love the glasswork and hope that it stays in the final design.

Is that the only picture that has surfaced of the proposed rendering? If there is more, would someone send me a link, thanks! I simply enjoy architectural renderings!

Page 3 of this thread had the original submission to the Planning Commission. Page 10 has an updated rendering taking the PC and BZA recommendations for more brick to better blend with the downtown.

Oh I know...this thing is a slow mover and I bet it takes forever/is a real pain with traffic.

But it needs to happen.

I will be happy when I see the whole being dug in the ground, just like with the WVU hotel.

Has anyone heard any update regarding this, or is it dead?

Edit: Just got this response from the city planning office regarding this project:

Per our City Planner regarding this project:

The Monongalia County Circuit Court's decision to uphold the Planning Commission approval of the development's site plan application has been appealed to the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia. The developer has decided to delay the pursuit of building permits and construction initiation until the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia has issued a decision.
