I was just thinking of all of the sites in Morgantown that seem like they are prime for redevelopment and have no idea on the status of. Feel free to throw out thoughts, add to the list, volunteer info.

Old Hills
Mountaineer Mall Plaza
Westover Shop n Save
Open Areas by 4-H School Rd Walmart
The Warner
The areas on Don Knotts to the right of where the Sheetz will be built
The land across from Mountainview Elementary. Not across Dorsey but between Dorsey and the school.
Empty Lots on Green Bag Rd. between Classics and where the business plaza is across the street
Next to the Dairy Queen in Westover

just off the top of my head

You could add a couple spots on Mon Blvd. in the Star City area too, and the building next to the Lebanese Bistro in the Wharf District.

Moutiaineer Mall is being utilized a great deal....just not in the way that you think. Mylan rents two of the spaces - Wal-mart and Gabes and then TeleTech has one of the other ends. Cato's is there, Woodburn Shanks is now there..Rob's fitness and then all of the random stuff (including the SSI office).

The reason that the square of land over by 4-H camp road that is for sale hasn't been developed is because there is something wrong with that piece of land. I can't remember if it was mine subsidence - Wal-mart owned it and I inquired about it when they did. Now, Howard and Hannah are promoting it.

I think the old Mall is doing well as a small business center.

I always thought it was a shame when Mylan moved in, because that area could have been redeveloped in a manner that would have brought people back to that side of town. There is so very little off of this exit and its hurting for a boost
