Grease Monkey off of 705 (Morgantown: 2014, hotel, medical)

I noticed that Grease Monkey, located just off of Chestnut Ridge Road (705), which always seemed to be very busy, has been torn down. Apparently the ground at that location was too valuable for that sort of operation and it is being put to another use. Does anybody know if they are opening in a new location?

I think they are planning to build a hotel over by the CVS and Mon General Intersection.

Turns out it's gonna be a 190 room Holiday Inn Express. Nice.

That project is on Pineview Drive. The Grease Monkey demolition might be part of the new medical Park development, or at least auxiliary parking.

I believe you are right. I wonder if Grease Monkey is planning to open some place else. I liked their service, and have used them for years.

Hmmm. That's an interesting proposition. If that is the case, it might be a stroke of genius on the part of Med Express... heading the hospital emergency room off at the pass, so to speak. It will be interesting to see.
