The amazing success we have had in high tech developments in North Central West Virginia needs a boost from our state to continue to develop and thrive. We need the state to get heavily involved in helping develop a gas and oil research consortium here in the Morgantown - Clarksburg corridor to maximize the effects of the amazing resources present here and the proximity to the huge Pittsburgh research establishment.
That will take somewhat of a shift in mindset, a change in paradigms from our state's typical tribal mindset, which often sees large sums of money thrown at projects hoping to develop something, rather than putting the money in a sure thing like we have here in the Morgantown - Clarksburg High Tech Corridor. We are in a prime position to bring that Pittsburgh development the short distance south to our area, and in doing so, it will help insure future prosperity for our entire state.
