It means that of the hundreds of engineering schools in the country, you get one of the best educations for your money there. That is pretty self evident. People also have the option to go to very expensive schools with fancy sounding names, and get far less return on their investment, and probably not as good an education overall either. There are some of those in our particular region. Our graduates are very well received nationally. When you consider that many graduates choose to practice in West Virginia, parts of which are economically distressed thus lowering wages, the fact that our graduates earn on average salaries ranked with those in neighboring states which have fewer distressed areas, it further reinforces the rankings.
