That was the original plan before the larger purchase. There was to be a "capstone" building, about 5 stories, at the end of the quad where the paved parking lot is inside the loop. There was a bridge connecting LSB to it and another connection from the new building to B&E. I haven't seen anything about a direct connection from LSB to B&E.

Also, I found this, from November 2013. Sort of an updated site plan, with more detail:

I'd love to know if they've made any progress. Has anyone emailed Rob or Phoenicia?

That is awesome. Please share what Rob or Phoenicia says when you get a response.

They're admins with WVU Facilities Services. I'll email Rob and see if there's been any headway.

I received a response from Phoenicia:

Right now we have selected an Architect, but no further development has been made since the original concepts. We hope to have some additional concepts in Fall 2015.

I was told the evaluation for that decision will take place this month, by someone fairly close to the situation. I would anticipate something within 2 or 3 weeks.

Any news about this yet? I would LOVE to see this happen ASAP! It is embarrassing to take friends from out of town through the loop currently. It's horrendous!

If I was Gee, this would be priority. It doesn't seem like solidifying a cohesive downtown campus for convenience or aesthetics is a priority . WVU is more in the business of student rentals and parking tickets.
