I'm getting conflicting reports on the downtown BW3 . 2 people I trust say the opposite . One has it closing for good because of systemic issues with the building . But the other tells me they changed minds recently and will keep BW3 open downtown .

The one downtown closing would not surprise me. It has a reputation of being "dirty", and the homeless are often sitting at the bar. The staff you encounter downtown are also far different from any BW3 staff you will ever encounter at other locations. I love BW3, but the downtown one needs a major overhaul.

There are suggestion cards in the store that can be picked up and sent to corporate. It has gone "downhill". Unless there are structural issues with the building the problems I see are fixable. I would hate to see it close myself as I work downtown and so many students patronize it. With all of the efforts to build student housing close to the campus to deter the need for using cars it is self defeating to send all of these businesses to the University or Suncrest Town Center where you need a car to get there.
I have received more info about the car dealership headed to U Town Center . It will be 10 acres . 5 acres of Fords . 3 acres of Toyotas . And 2 acres of VWs . All under the " Freedom " umbrella .
I'm not surprised by this. Many cities have an auto mart approach for selling autos with several dealerships clustered together. This is what is at The Highlands in Wheeling and it works well there. You will find the same approach at Danbury, CT and elsewhere too.
I'm wondering what will happen long term with Jeep on Don Knotts. They are really restricted for space there and occupy valuable ground. I would think they could sell that land and make a move to one of the shopping areas and increase their display area too. That would also open up space for another hotel at some point to increase options for the event center. I have always felt Morgantown has not maximized their opportunities to attract convention business given their proximity to large population centers and the obvious amenities present in the city.

How did Freedom get access to Toyota? They're run by University Motors in Morgantown. I had assumed Kia would be moving up there too, any word?
Dominion Post reports Tilted Kilt in the Suncrest Towne Centre has closed for good due to back pay of rent and not honoring the terms of the lease. What a disappointing run for them. That place had so much potential back in 2012 but they really screwed up from the start.
