I saw that with Minor League Baseball's realignment, the NY-Penn League is being cut as an affiliate. Does anyone know what this means in practical terms? Is the league done, or just no longer affiliated with the MLB, or MiLB for that matter?

That really won't be much different than A level minor league participation. The only noticeable difference will be the lack of foreign players.

Thanks, Colt.45. Glad to hear that they'll get to carry on, and, IMO, the new league concept sounds more interesting than being the lowest-rung affiliate of the Pirates. Good for Morgantown.

I hope to catch a game this year. Will it still be a half season league?
