Homepath and closing cost (properties, bank, contract, 3%)

I have been told that you cannot get full or 6% closing cost towards REO properties. Is it true base on your experience and is it ESPECIALLY true on homepath/homepath renovation properties?

I think homepath currently offers 3% but that may have been something special they were running. As for reos you can still ask for anything in the contract like a traditional sale. If the numbers work out for the bank they may go for it.

from my understanding, it doesnt seem as if it is because the numbers arent right why they wouldnt offer 6% or full closing cost. It seems to be something that just is. no explanation.
