I recently tried to refinance my FHA loan and found that it wasn't in my best interest to refinance due to the following:

Even though my paperwork and closing was signed prior to May 29 2009, whoever handled the loan did not file/endorse until June 3rd, which is past the date for a streamline process, so the PMI rate couldn't be lowered and it would only cut my payments by around $80.00 instead of the $200.00.

My question is there anything I can do since this was of no fault of my own? Every document I have is showing prior to the 29th, however when the bank's underwriters looked up what the other bank filed it was showing June 3rd and they couldn't do anything for me.

Do I need to find another bank or will this happen to me everywhere?

Not enough information?

Try talking to your current lender, about an in house refinance. Staying with the same lender, there's little or no closing costs.

Going to a different lender, closing costs get added to the loan, making the loan amount bigger. Any drop (savings) in the interest rate, is reduced by a larger loan amount.
