Does anyone here have a contact for the Loss Mitigation Department at Bank Of America. I am working on a file and I can't get anyone to call me back from the bank.

Thanks a bunch

My last response got deleted by the moderator by being off topic...and here I thought I was giving you some relevant advice. Anyway, just google "Loss Mit Bank of America" to find the number you need.

Good luck with the short sale

There are several numbers for loss mitt try the 336 805 8989 and listen for the prompts. Hit option 3 and someone in customer service can give you the number or call the collection dept 8008462222

It's easier to get Jesus to talk to you, you know. I did time there for 1.5 years and that place is designed to be not phone friendly. There are no published numbers anywhere for any of their offices, except the 800 numbers.

Copy and paste Ben's phone list, you probably could sell it on eBay.

From the grapevine and for whatever it's worth, I have heard the owner must be in arrears for 90 days just to be considered for the specialty FHA programs (Secure and Hope4Homeowners).

Terms of shortsales (or if they are even getting done) are not getting back to the loan officers on the front lines, it's a state secret. If and when you hear back and can share, many will appreciate it. It's the most under-publicized bank out there...

By any chance, was your seller's loan an ACORN or Community Commitment loan?

Also, up until last year, I hate to tell you how many home equity lines they did without verifying income.......

I have a purchase and sale agreement from Sept. 22, 08. I still do not have a closing date, nor can the seller reach the short sale contact. The contact is a Camille Oliver, and a CSR for Bank of America told me she is in Buffalo, NY. The seller calls everyday (at least he says he does) and can't even leave a message, for she does not have an answering machine. Although, she has promised a return call within the next 4 days, with a status report. It's disappointing, that no one knows the status, and it leaves the buyer in the dark!!!!!!!!

www.loansafe.org is a website dedicted to foreclosure prevention, loan modifications, and short-sales.. it has all sorts of success stories posted. Perhaps there is some tidbit of info there about BofA which will give insight on how to get them off their butts.

this is why infomercials make so much money, but only for the guy selling all the tips! foreclosures and short sales are not something you want to be involved in, lol.
