They offer it only on resale houses or at least that's what I found out quite a few months ago. Might've changed because I was reading they're planning even on no-fee refinancing. B of A's rates are not particularly competitve, though. That's most likely the case with Wells Fargo as well.

They are offering it for new construction also... The rates are also competitive with Wells Fargo...

Really?! Wonder when they started doing that... because I was personally interested. Could it possibly be state-specific? Can anybody else confirm this?

I'm sure their rates are in line with Wells Fargo (we can add builders' lenders here), but certainly not with other lenders.

Here is what today's rates are in NC from BofA:

30 year (0 pts, 0 closing) - 5.625%

30 year (1 pt, 0 closing) - 5.25%

These seem pretty darn competitive to me.
