I had refinanced last month. I got a letter from my old lender (Resource Financial Services) stating that my loan was transferred to "Ditech Mortgage".

DITECH's customer service seems very BAD based on my initial conversation. I googled and found even more bad reviews. The initial information in their on their online system about my loan had mistakes.
- For example, it stated that my property tax is due on 12/1 while my property tax was already paid in full for 2015 as part my closing.
- The total loan says $334k while my principal loan amount that was refinanced was $200k. Weird.

Now, in case I face issues with them posting my payments incorrectly etc in the future... who can help set things right? (hopefully without running around and getting an attorney etc.)

And I suppose I don't have an option to change my servicer right? (without refinancing again)

Thanks.

They MAY be listing the total loan amount as what you'll ultimately be paying in total over the term of the loan, including both principal and interest.

I have read of a LOT of horror stories about Ditech online, and I had my own experience with them as appraisers on a property...seemed like the company was staffed by a bunch of incompetent goons...
