We were supposed to close on Friday (May 23). Problem is we are across the country. We fed exed the paperwork (which was already signed by the seller) to the title company on Wednesday and never heard back from anyone. Obviously it being a holiday weekend we don't expect to hear until Tuesday, however should they not have called us on Friday? Should we assume no news is good news and the closing went successfully?
Do you have some sort of representation at the closing? You should call title or someone who was present at closing to find out. Our realtor told us that once our closing is complete she'll give us a call. Every state does things differently so it's like re-learning the process for us each time.
