I was wondering if anyone could help me I 've never bought a house before and I was wondering if anyone knew of any grants/programs for Police officers and their families. My husband and I don't have a world of money and would maybe in the next year or so like to try to buy ourselves a small condo or town house and hope to find something to help us out. We'll have about $10,000 for a down, not much I know. Anyone know of anything to help for families like ours?

HUD has some programs...you need to check their website. Unfortunately, it does not appear that the houses in the program are in the best neighborhoods but it is worth taking a look.

Just do an FHA loan...you only need 3.5% down and closing costs/pre-paids will range from 5k to 12k dollars.

there is alot for police officers hud does have a program for 50% off for police officers in the state that they work in.

fha loan put down 3% will get you a home.

also in if you tell me your state i can tell you more .
