I'm closing on a house on 2/13. I hope it applies to me. Reading the bill posted by someone else it states that it would apply to homes purchased after 12/31/08. But I have also heard it will apply to anyone buying a home after the bill is enacted.

I don't care what they do as long as I get my $7500 from purchasing in 5/08. Although it would be nicer to have an additional $7500 to put into the economy

There is no way in hell that I am going to spend that money! I am keeping it in savings! I might spend about 2G's of it at most.

i called isaksons office, the people up there say that if you buy a house today (or any day before the bill passes) you are not eligible for the $15,000

Understood..they should at least make the 7500 a true credit then and not have to be paid back if they are going to give out that much $$$
