Friday night I pulled a 3 bureau credit report in preperation of a mortgage conversion.

The scores reported were:
Experian=685
Equifax=707
Transunion=698

The next morning the bank pulled a report and got the following scores:
Experian 668
Equifax 682
Transunion 659

After comparing the reports line by line I found absolutly no difference in the information.

Can anyone explain why this would/could happen?

Fico versus fako, maybe?

There are different algorythms, but my understanding is that the fico scores are best. Although what banks might pull is potentially another scoring method altogether. So they can vary. I think the truest scores you can obtain come directly from myfico dot com when you are viewing them yourself, not from anywhere else because they arent ficos (they are fakos, hehe).

Sure. You didn't pull your scores from myfico.com. That's the only site out there that will give you your true score that the banks use. Unfortunately, you cannot draw Experian scores from that site, anymore. Still, TransUnion and Equifax scores are available.

The scores you pulled are FAKOs. Ballpark estimates, for sure. But ultimately useless if you need to know exactly where you stand.
