My next property tax will be due in November. We only pay once a year. Is this for year 2009 or 2010? I live in FL.

I strongly believe it's for 2009, which indicates the property taxes are not prepaid. On the other hand, the homeowner's insurance is prepaid. So if I sell the house, I have to credit the buyer a prorated amount for the tax and receive the HOI premium refund from the insurance carrier.

I'm not selling the house now but just want to know how it is done. Can anyone confirm?

Ace,

Ask your County Treasurer directly. Any misinfo and you are the one who will pay!
