Actually Tim, I was responding to the OP who is almost the same age as my husband.
My husband had a 735 when we ran his credit BEFORE the mortgage, when he only had ONE credit card and a student loan. He only got a score from two of the three bureaus though - the third said not enough tradelines to get a score.
I was told that he couldn't get credit for the cards in my name only even though he is an authorized user, but that may not be entirely true. Trying to find out the exact formula credit scoring companies use is impossible.
