Hi, everyone! I am so glad I found this site. We just got our purchase price agreed yesterday. Very excited but mortgage rates have shot up in the last 2 weeks!

Have you had any success with mortgage brokers in NJ? Their fee structure is so complicated and I am not sure who I can trust to do biz with.

I've contemplated going to the banks directly but rates are so high now. ING has attractibve fixed rates. Anyone had good experience on 30 yr fixed with major banks?

Thank you for you advice. I relly appreciate it...!!!

i also am looking to buy in nj and could use the info.

i have a question. i wouldnt mind contacting a mortgage broker to find out what they figure is a loan that is appropriate for my finances. can i do that asap or do i wait until i am within some timeframe for purchasing a home? i am probably around 6 months out, maybe less.
