Got a letter that said I'm eligible for a settlement payment from Countrywide as part of settlement entered into between Office of Attorney General. They sent me a form that says I need to sign a release form basically saying I give up my rights to have any legal claim against them.
Does anyone know anything about this? I've been looking on the internet and I'm coming up with some info, but can't help but feel like it's a scam.
i would suggest that you consult with an attorney before signing anything.
