Guess thats why a few convenience stores near me give a 5 cents a gallon discount for gas paid with cash or local check.

They state they might as well give the fee payment to the customer via lower price.

I appreciate that.

Strange...When I buy fuel at the local truck stop...they never ask debit or credit...just run it through,thats it. when you go to a big box store...they want everything, drivers lisence, picture ID, codes on the card, thats if I say the word " credit".

I just really really really hate writing checks. Just about all my payments are done online so I was curious. I pretty much flat out hate using stamps so I venture down to the bank to avoid postage. My loan is with BofA and my banking is with Chase. They don't allow any online payments unless you have a BofA account, bastards. My loan was sold to BoofA after the transaction, zero control over that...
