Catman,
I doubt if my Vulcan would hit a true 120 also. The speedo may indicate 120 mph but at 65 mph indicated it is actually 52 mph per friendly Highway Patrol radar. And I agree it isn't always speed that kills. I was stopped at a red light and I heard the sound of squealing brakes behind me. I always try to stop a few feet back and to the left or right of the vehicle in front of me. Thankfully I had done so that time. I was able to gas it between the two cars stopped in front of me and the pickup with bad brakes ass-ended the car I had stopped behind. I would have been the meat in the sandwich and probably died. The driver of the hit car was not injured but his car was extensively damaged.
BTW two more died in Motorcycle accidents in Nebraska this weekend. A rider and his passenger both died in an accident near Blair Saturday evening. Be careful out there.
