Kymco is one of the better ones...Depends on how close a local dealer WITH a GOOD mechanic/parts supply is to you.
I would suggest a used Burgman AN400 before a new Kymco by far though...it would be money WELL spent vs the Kymco.
As for 600 miles on your scoot...I put 12,500 Kilometers on mine with only clutch and belt problems 6/7 years ago and it gave me the scooter bug....run that 150 till it's guts are hanging out
KYMCO is a very well regarded 2nd tier, up and coming Taiwanese motorcycle, ATV & scooter mfg.. It has a fairly large and active ownership community. They are an excellent source of information for any KYMCO product. If you haven't already done so, Google:
KymcoForum.com - Index and also the Yahoo KYMCO users group (kymcoscooterforum : Kymco Scooter Forum).
There are 9 dealers listed within your general Dallas/Ft worth areas. I'd suggest you'd have lots of company. KYMCO has been a supplier to Honda (the company is actually a break-off from Honda) and BMW so that should tell you something. Their fit & finish quality has been making major improvements in recent years.
KYMCO generally provides the best bang for the buck by far compared to Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, Piaggio/Vespa/Aprilla, etc. For the money, the KYMCO is hard to beat. My only reservation is that they are not offering ABS on the Downtown and I'm a fan of it for anything 250cc & above, especially if you plan to keep it for a long time. JMO

I've never heard a bad review of Kymco Agility 125 from anyone who has owned one.
Not a spectacularly exciting bike, but a workhorse commuter that is as reliable as a brick.
An old water-cooled Super9 is on my "dream" list
I have a Vespa, and in our circle, the subject of Kymco scooters come up on occasion. They are one of the better scooters available for purchase. Personally, I have never heard anything negative about them.
They have a good quality product and they support it with warranty, parts, etc. and there are a number of reputable dealers in most areas. Not a terrible choice.
