Is it DOT and Snell approved? The ad doesn't even seem to mention that. It would give a definite advantage. I think it'd basically be up to the league rules / rule interpretation.

It doesn't say on the link, but if you go to their website, they say that it is. That is an expensive helmet though.
No advantage in racing that I could see, but I only raced for 5 years... :/
It would be nice to know who's behind you so you could assess who's going to try some crazy hsit on the last lap. There are guys in the MRA paddock that I know wont try anything stupid and there are others that I'd just rather not have behind me on the last lap (i.e. guys that'll try something stupid and take me out in the process). A helmet like that may not make my lap times any better but would still be nice to have.
I researched this helmet and the professional and consumer reviews of this helmet are excellent. It would seem that price is really the only issue anyone has followed by how the helmet is "fair" on ventilation when in stop and go city traffic in the summer. I will definitely get one of these helmets in the future.
