My father has an old boat that he has been storage for many years. It hasn't been in water for over 10 years.
I don't think it is worth much at all.
Is there a charity that will come pick it up?
Any suggestions on how I can get rid of it?
What part of town is it in? I've done work with a charity on the North side of town that does that sort of thing as long as you have proof that it's not stolen like a title or bill of sale.
Houston Can Academy, Car Donation - Donate Car to Kars4Kids. They advertise that they will come and haul cars and boats away. If you mention Sports 610 Radio I think you also get a gift certificate for dinner at a restaurant.
You could always look into donating the boat. Sometimes it's a little more difficult to sell boats that are older, and even when you do sell them it doesn't end up returning much profit. Depending on its condition you could donate it. Even if it doesn't have a trailer or if you want to keep the trailer Boats 2 Charity is pretty good about making accommodations. If you're interested visit. http://www.boats2charity.org/ They may be able to help you.
