Well...this should be interesting. I'm all for it but I could see more close minded fans getting worked up about it.

Introduce it slowly and they'll come around. Just like the water cooled heads they introduced last year.

"I'll never own a water cooled Harley!"
"Yeah you will."

It'll be a trip in 15 yrs when people scooting by on Harleys that look like Triumph Speed triples.

It's about time they became a forward thinking company.

Will it be as quiet as it in that video? I read a couple articles about them & neither article mentioned if they will be silent.

Oh, the Harley forums are up an arms about it, lack of Harley soul and ignorant crap about it being powered by rare earth metal batteries that pollute more than their old bikes do. And the best part is complaints about the electric Harleys being only for image-conscious poseurs. Talk about irony!

I especially loved the guy who said something along the lines of, "I hope it doesn't really sound like that. That would be so annoying." Oh yes, it really needs to sound more like a far less annoying Harley with straight pipes.

Not really. Actually about 90% seem to be ok with it at HDforum.

Chrome has been out of style for awhile now. Witht the young crowd anyway. The whole 'Dark Custom' thing killed it off, to the point that I almost miss the chromed out look.
