Why aren't motorcycles stolen a lot?

lets see.


bike parked in a garage.
disk locks on both wheels.
want a ground anchor...but i rent.
alarm on house.
.357 at my bed.
30-30 close at hand.

not a desirable bike.
goes just as fast as a R1..well close enough. more than fast enough for me.
but age says to a thief to pass and find one newer, easier to sell.

if i can get another house. there will also be two/three large rotts sleeping close to the bikes.

It depends where you live. In the UK bike theft is very common.

Amazingly here in South Africa bike theft is rare, even though car theft and high jacking is probably highest in the world, like rape and murder. I guess because blacks don't ride bikes (except delivery boys on the baases <250 cc), bike theft is rare. You just don't see them on larger bikes.
