A little late I guess. I just found out about this. Nicky died in a cycling accident last Monday when he was struck by a car. I never had the pleasure of meeting him but he was known throughout his career to be one of the most likeable and engaging people in the paddock. Very very fan friendly, even after his MotoGP championship 2006. As a die hard WSBK fan I will miss him, especially since he was the only American in the series this year.
