I'm actually surprised that they haven't pumped up the torque even more. The old, 2.3 liter one put out 164 ft-lbs, only 2 less. I had a '12 Roadster, loved that bike-should have kept it. I'm really hoping they use the new one as a platform for a number of new bikes, including a fully dressed touring bike. 160 ft-lbs is a nice minimum for a heavy touring bike As it sits now, personally I'm not really that interested. It's pretty much a dedicated "street fighter"; it lacks the flexibility of the old one that made a decent touring ride with a set of bags and a windshield. But it does look darned good.
Carpenter Racing was the place to go for Rocket III performance. They had a kit that put 240hp to the wheel with relatively minor mods.

Most of the quick bikes you really can't use the power around town, by the time you wind it a little you're over a 100 and really noticeable to the PD who would like to lock you up. My F6B is doing real well cruising around and you've gotta have some kind of bags these days to get anything done...........

I had bags, a big windshield and highway pegs on my Roadster-it wasn't a bad touring rig. Really needed cruise control-throttle return spring was very heavy. The torque made it fun all the time-no need to downshift to pass a line of traffic.

Basically-yes. The company is in Hinckley, England now-it moved from a previous location when they were closed for a couple of years. But still basically the same company. It's not like Indian for example which was closed for decades, hand a couple "false starts" to build on S&S motors, only to have the name brought back by Polaris.
