  • What year/model/make of street motorcycle(s) do you currently ride?
--->I currently ride a 2008 H3. (my mother's day gift! )
--->DH's work truck is a 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 (diesel)
--->We both ride a 2002 Nissan Altima (that's the car I had before I got my new truck...but we just decided to keep it). My DH mainly uses it when he's not working so he doesn't have to use his work truck when he needs to drive the kids around when I'm not home.

Trying to sell our 2001 Ford Explorer Sport...anyone interested? lol
  • What type of bicycle do you have? Actually none. LOL It's been years, since I was a teen, that I had a 10 speed bike.
  • What is your history of motorcycle ownership? Me = never. DH has a crotch rocket...the fastest around. It's a 2006 (or '07???) Suzuki Hayabusa.
  • What ATVs, snowmobiles, personal watercraft, boats, off-road bikes, etc. do you have? DH had 2 ATV's (a 3 wheeler and a 4-wheeler) which he sold. He also had a dirtbike....an 1984 Honda something or other and that's sold as well.
  • What are you looking to buy in the next year or so? (cars, bikes, whatever) Nothing at the moment. DH just bought me a Hummer, and with all our vehicles, I think we're good to go for a while. Oh, my 6 yr. old will be getting a new bike.
  • What would you have if money were no object? ??

Very cool. I think they cut a lot of weight from this model around that year. This bike can do a lot of things well from what I've read.

Yeah, it's not too hard to pick up when I drop it. But street tires don't do well in silt-like desert sands.

Been riding for 38 years or so, started with a mini bike, I've owned honda's norton's a harley a triumph and others
I'll be buying a sport tourer in a few years
Money no object, it would be a BMW
K1200GT, great bike -->sport tourer

Wow, the 1200S, is it the silver one? My friend had a 2000 silver (the second generation with the larger fairing though) and it was a torque monster!

Not looking to get anything new.
If money were no object? I would have exactly what I have now. If I wanted a Vincent Black Shadow, I would buy one, but I dont.
Vespa 250, nice. 250 is decent size for a scooter, it can pretty much do everything except long freeway jaunts, but it's still got the smaller and lighter feel of the 150s.

That's an incredible bike, but I think I'd rather have an 1198R or that new Aprilia four.

I was intrigued by the Silverwing with sidecar -- found this: http://www.cyberscooter.it/sx/images/cart_sidecar.jpg

The Can-Am Spyder looks fantastic, I'd LOVE to try one of those out!

Ah, can't go wrong with Trek or Specialized in the front-suspension $400-600 range.

You could try Wikipedia for a lot of the bikes. Another good site is Motorcycle Specifications

There are a lot of reviews here: Reviews of Motorcycle, ATV, Snowmobile and Watercraft vehicles

I have pretty good knowledge of models and types so you can ask me or on this thread.

Husband started off with a 72 sportster in the Marine Corps, and has moved up from there.
Cool, did you know the Marines provide motorcycle training now? Motorcycle training for U.S. military
