I'm a scooter fan so I would recommend the Suzuki Burgman or maybe something like the Piaggio BV 500 (I have the 250 and love it)--depends on the look you are going for.

The Mana is definitely more sporty and bike-ish but then again carries a much bigger price tag

I can't say about the Boss Hoss, but I have the idea it has one speed so far as the tranny is concerned, and neutral.

My 2002 SW has a factory label designating it as "motorcycle".

Back when they came out, people were scratching their heads over what a Silverwing was: a scooter because of its step-thru frame and auto transmission, or a motorcycle because of its displacement and HP that put it in the range of larger bikes? That its makers tried to label it as a "motorcycle" seemed to have started the trend to try and call it an automatic motorcycle. I just shrug and say "whatever" . I just got mine out of the garage to start it's 9th riding season. It's a little beat up, and the original battery finally gave up the ghost, but it's been a great little tourer for the long trips and just plain fun for tootling on the back roads and up in the mountains.

Another auto not mentioned is the QLink Legacy

Chinese made, yet gets decent reviews. Only a 250 displacement so it's not made for larger size folks and has lots of plastic which I know is a turnoff for some.

That and this isn't the first silver wing Honda made either. Once there was another silver wing model. When you mentioned it I had forgotten there was a new silver wing myself.

The Silver Wing of the 80's was a down displacement Gold Wing. Original GW was a 1000, and the SW was a 500 twin.
