Colin Fruze was tired of drivers following his scooter too closely, so he developed a flamethrower to ward them off:

‘The flames are pretty big and up to 15ft long so you could definitely set fire to someone’s car if you wanted to.’

and quickly be arrested and sent to jail with vehicle impounded. Even Pimp My Ride couldn't put flames coming out of the car's tail pipes because it was illegal so what makes this guy think this is legal?

It doesn't sound much like he cares. I know how he feels about tailgaters! Not that I would do that.

It isn't legal, but that has easily been done since the 40's anyway, perhaps farther back in time for all I know. Each year at laconia I see a few bikes set up that way, it ain't very hard to do. LOL

News update, Flame-thrower scooter owner arrested.

Colin Furze, a plumber who adapted his scooter to shoot 15ft flames from the rear, has been arrested for an alleged firearms offence.

Mr Furze, 30, displayed his modified his scooter, with an anti-tailgating flame thrower operated by the flick of switch, in the press earlier this week.

Why, Thars a time n' place for everything! Evidently he didn't understand that at all... LOL I don't understand how this is any 'Fire Arms' infraction myself! Maybe this is another offence and he had an illegal gun...

The guys I see with this rig are not mad, they are just joking around. The cops seem to get a laugh of it too.
