it was quite awesome. though you certainly need to be a fan of video games to really enjoy it since there are a ton of references in it. also because someone is gonna mention it, it doesn't matter if you hate Michael Cera you are only punishing yourself by not seeing this film and he is great in it.

so anyone else see it and if you did what did you think?

saw it. it was ****ing HORRIBLE.

i like video games as much as the next person, but the references in the movie did nothing for me. pure drek.

be it known: you are punishing yourself if you watch this movie.

I saw it last week and though it was so so. I liked the fight scenes, though they weren't anything epic (maybe b/c I can't see Michael Cera as anything but geeky). the video game references got tedious after a while, except for the major one at the end (and I liked the coins). not my favorite Michael Cera movie (those would be Superbad and Juno) but he's pretty good in this movie despite playing the same character he always does. some of the other characters, like the Chinese girlfriend, annoyed the hell out of me

This movie would have been great without Michael Cera. That guy is the worst leading man.

The fighting got very repetitive, but I thought the dialogue was really good
