For me, it is about time and convenience. I like getting my movies in the mailbox or instantly on TV.

I just changed from 3 at a time blu-ray to 2 at a time, I think now I am paying $18 a month, which, with popcorn and Coke, is almost as much as I pay at the local movie theater to see one movie.

I will not be thrilled if/when Netflix goes totally to instant streaming and ditches the dvds, at least not if we can't access subtitles and special features, which, as it stands now, we can't. I *hate* that aspect of streaming.

But the selection is good. I've been a member since 2004, and I think there has only been one time they did not have a foreign film I wanted.

I like that I can get some of the older movies. Newer releases can be either "saved", a "short wait" or a "long wait". If I get a "wait" message, I send it to the back of the queue.
