Looking for a name of a movie I'm trying to find (watch, best)

Saw this movie about 8-10 years ago (I think).

Plot,
A wife gets drowned by her husband in a lake or maybe the sea, but she survives and finds out that he has taken everything from her (also her child), they were very rich and living somewhere by the coast. She goes on to try and find this guy and turn out he did this thing for a few times already. Anyway, she finds him somewhere in the south I think... don't remember from there.

I thought the wife was Ashley Jude, or Diana Lane, but looking at IMDB, I didn't find anything similar to that on their list. Any ideas????

It sounds a little like Double Jeopardy but in that movie it is the husband that is supposedly drowned by the wife, not the wife drowned by the husband. Nevertheless it's close enough to what you describe that I would look it up on IMDB and see if that's what you're looking for.

you aren't talking about the julia roberts movie, sleeping with the enemy i think its called? she fakes her own death by drowning to get away from her husband?
