The thread title just said, "Not critically acclaimed", not that the movie had to be disliked by critics..

"The Stunt Man" - a movie from the late 70's starring Peter O'Toole as a megalomaniac film director who sort of rescues a fugitive (played by Steve Railsback) to use as a stunt man in filming. Great use of the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego as a location, and the movie served as the vehicle that re-launched O'Toole's career.

"Lady in White" - a kid's ghost story starring Lukas Haas. It's charming enough for adults, and there are one or two scenes that will give you a nice chill.

Iwould highly recommend The World's Fastest Indian starring Anthony Hopkins.

While it did get favorable reviews it had a very limited distribution and a short life in theaters. great story about a man chasing a dream.

There are so many that come to mind! Perhaps I can return with more. Some great ones have been named though some did receive critical acclaim. Still, some have slipped from the memory of many people, so it's worth refreshing some titles, bringing them to attention once more.
