What kind of comedy do you like? Dark comedy? Slapstick? sitcom? spoof comedy? Drama/comedy?
I personally love, LOVE, Mel Brooks. He's in his own class when it comes to making comedy movies.
Here are some titles from Mel Brooks that I love:
Spoof comedy:
1) "Dracula, Dead & Loving it" - Bram Stroker's Dracula spoof
2) "Robinhood, Men in Tights" - Steven Costner's Robinhood spoof
Witty comedy:
1) "Blazing Saddle" - the campfire bean dinner scene is priceless!!
2) "Young Frankenstein" - classic!
My favorite non Mel Brooks comedy: My Cousin Vinny with Joe Pesci and Marissa Tomei.

Check out No Time For Sergeants. It's an oldie but goodie, starring Andy Griffith. By the end of the movie, just looking at Will Stockdale's (Andy's) expressions had me rolling with laughter.
