I could use some suggestions as to everybody's all-time favorite comedies. I'd like to add them to my Netflix queue. Thanks in advance.

OMG, you really should have set a limit on how many we can recommend. But since you didn't (insert *diabolical laugh*):

Being There
Best in Show (and anything else by Christopher Guest): if you own a dog, this is a must-see.
This is Spinal Tap
Airplane!
Young Frankenstein
The Philadelphia Story
Blazing Saddles
Some Like It Hot
Animal House
Wedding Crashers

I'll stop there so that someone else has a chance to contribute.

The best comedies ever made:

Young Frankenstein

A Fish Called Wanda

Everything else is a pale shadow compared to those two.

What kind of comedy do you like? Dark comedy? Slapstick? sitcom? spoof comedy? Drama/comedy?

I personally love, LOVE, Mel Brooks. He's in his own class when it comes to making comedy movies.

Here are some titles from Mel Brooks that I love:
Spoof comedy:
1) "Dracula, Dead & Loving it" - Bram Stroker's Dracula spoof
2) "Robinhood, Men in Tights" - Steven Costner's Robinhood spoof

Witty comedy:
1) "Blazing Saddle" - the campfire bean dinner scene is priceless!!
2) "Young Frankenstein" - classic!

My favorite non Mel Brooks comedy: My Cousin Vinny with Joe Pesci and Marissa Tomei.

The Hollywood Knights. Sort of an R-rated American Graffiti. Really funny if you like this sort of movie.
I do

don't drink the punch scene

I watched Big Mommas house the other day. It was a good laugh.

Dumb and Dumber use to be a favorite of mine but after watching it half a dozen times it gets stale.

Anchorman is stupid funny.

The legend of Awesomenest Maximus is a good spoof of Troy, 300, Gladiator, Alexander and a few other of those type of movies.

Check out No Time For Sergeants. It's an oldie but goodie, starring Andy Griffith. By the end of the movie, just looking at Will Stockdale's (Andy's) expressions had me rolling with laughter.
