I agree! My husband, daughter and I went to see it today at daughter's request, and I was very inspired by this young girl's determination. I loved how it started out and have been singing "Blessed be the Name of the Lord" all day. I thought that was an added touch that they used Bethany's real dog in the movie.
The real Bethany Hamilton was on the Hour of Power yesterday morning being interviewed by Pastor Shelia Shuller Coleman. Pastor Shuller-Coleman told the church something about the Bible being in the movie and how nice that was. Yes, it was really cool seeing Dennis Quaid sitting by Bethany's hospital bed and reading the bible!

Tried to rep you again. I also liked Sarah (Carrie Underwood) and what a positive role model she was to Bethany. I was impressed w/ my 15 yr old. With all the junk she could want to see, she asked us if we'd like to see this movie.
Since this is a Christian-based movie, I just don't see it being nearly as popular as the action or cartoon types. Heck, this Thread isn't even getting that many replies!

Im sure its a great movie but the advertisements make it look like it should be on lifetime.
